Sofia Reed was the third member of the Cult of Vor. She is the mother of Vormundus, the adopted mother of Mayim, and the lover of Kemet.
Biography
Early Life
Born in the city of Zemar during the reign of King Tristan Stirling, Sofia Reed was the daughter of two unmarried servants working for a wealthy lord. When she was five, her father left the lord's service. She never saw him again. After his disappearance, her mother became a listless alcoholic and soon lost her job. Left on her own, as a teenager Sofia had no choice but to work. She became a prostitute and lived in a brothel.

Sofia became pregnant and was thrown out of the brothel. She lived on the streets, begging to survive. Often she was chased off or attacked by the townspeople, who recognized her as a harlot, or unclean woman.
Conversion
One day she heard the prophet Vor preaching redemption and forgiveness. She was so moved by his words that she began following him. He led her to his cave dwelling, where two other followers, Daniel Zuse and Rolfe, were already living. She gave birth not long after to a son whom she named Vormundus in Vor's honor.
Meeting Kemet
Roughly a year later, an Exekian was brought to the commune by Vor. The Exekian, whom Vor dubbed Kemet when he refused to tell them his name, was found bleeding to death in the woods, his left hand having been cut off. Vor tasked Sofia with nursing him back to health. While she was somewhat nervous in his presence and largely ignorant of Exekian biology, she soon warmed to Kemet and proved instrumental in his conversion to Vormundism.
Fellow Vormund Rolfe, who would one day go on to found the Insurrection, often targeted Sofia. He believed she was unrepentant of her days as a prostitute and claimed she would return to her old ways eventually. He particularly disapproved of her relationship with Kemet, which he believed would be the incentive for this regression. Rolfe was usually tempered by Vor, who defended Sofia and Kemet as ideals of his teachings.
Disbanding of the Cult
Another year passed, and the Cult of Vor grew steadily. But with the new religion's growth, their renown also increased. King Tristan began to see the faith as a threat, and ordered Vor's arrest. Soldiers arrived at the commune and demanded Vor come with them. Vor was not there at the time, but his followers refused to give him up anyway, Sofia among them. The altercation grew violent, and one of the soldiers grabbed her by the hair and attempted to wrench Vormundus from her arms. At that point Vor returned. He intervened, submitted to the soldiers, and was taken away.
After the arrest and execution of Vor, his followers scattered. A third of the Vormunds joined Rolfe against King Tristan, forming the Insurrection. The other two thirds went their own ways. Sofia and Vormundus went with Kemet, traveling south with the aid of Lord Gavin Zosimus. During the journey, Sofia asked Kemet to marry her. He agreed and they performed an impromptu ceremony, with Gavin serving as witness.
After passing the river Antoi, they built a cottage in the wilderness and lived there as a family for a time. Kemet soon grew restless and decided to search for others of his kind; Sofia bid him farewell on the promise he would return soon.
While Kemet was gone, Sofia concentrated on raising her son. Soon after, however, Kemet arrived with a human baby girl. The child had been born blind, and thus couldn't tell the difference between humans and Exekians. Sofia and Kemet named the girl Mayim and opted to raise her as their own.
