The New Mercurian Empire is one of two factions of the Mercurians. It is led by Empress Callisto, the daughter of a former emperor of the previous Mercurian Empire.
History
After the fall of the Mercurian Empire, the survivors scattered in the south. Numerous groups formed and began vying for power, among them Apollo, Henoch, Boadicea, and Orion.
Princess Callisto had been exiled to the south centuries ago, and as a result knew the terrain well. She gathered followers who were unaware of her past. Apollo, who knew who she was and what she had done, nonetheless was the first to join his faction in allegiance with hers, becoming the New Mercurian Empire.
