Zachary Guildford was born the son of the lord and lady of Dearg, a minor house in Apicarta, but he is most famous for having married Princess Frances Stirling, who briefly was declared queen. Zachary served as her consort for this period, before he and his wife were imprisoned by Aldous Stirling and ultimately killed.
Their marriage, while arranged by their parents and lasting just over a year, was famously a love match. Frances pleaded with the king to let her and her husband live, promising to leave the country and live quietly in some faraway land. But her entreaties were ignored, and the couple was executed on the same day in 183 AYZ.
